But despite the potential problems, and the considerable squeeze on their finances, she says she remains hooked on motherhood.

"We are not planning to have another one at the moment but we’ll have to wait and see what comes.

They spend £170 a week on their food bill. And as a result of rising bills, they have not been on holiday for three years.

. Q- u4 B; y+ h  j& X8 _Mr Warriner, 45, who is applying for promotion to inspector to help support his brood, added: "When we got married ten years ago, Rayna said she’d like four children and I joked that I wanted eight.

"We agreed to settle for six but it hasn’t worked out that way."
