After having nine children in as many years, you might think Rayna and Malcolm Warriner's brood is complete.( S1 d$ }8 c2 c" A! Y' b
4 S3 R# G4 | d6 @But, with one seat spare in the family minibus, the couple feel they still have a gap to fill. $ R) ~9 h V! P/ e

Less than a month after giving birth to their newest addition, Mrs Warriner is already broody for a tenth baby. ' T8 ^4 y; z& Z0 i; k* s& X/ r6 _
3 u( f" m) U5 W3 ?: c
"I’m hooked on the adrenaline rush I get from having a beautiful baby and it is a miracle that lasts a lifetime," said the former nursery manager, 32. % N& w2 K) a4 p a w" F; l' {
$ D2 J! Q) I4 Y! m8 M( M1 d"We have one more seat to fill in our 12-seater minibus. If my husband said that’s it, we would stop, but we both enjoy having children so much." 2 A6 R4 P+ Y3 a' [9 ?
! T' S% t! p, e/ K
The couple support their six girls and three boys on the wages Mr Warriner earns as a police sergeant, without the aid of benefits. J7 y/ j- @; U: |; g% Q/ _$ [7 r ) I: l. G4 R8 h j4 UTheir oldest child, Eryn, is nine. A year after her birth, the couple had Jackson, now eight, followed two years later by Harrison, six. 8 k0 P1 g) h8 y+ b. f* G' b: j, p& H4 L j6 U) K, P$ S4 {" G- T
Another boy, Callan, arrived in 2003 and was followed by threeyear- old Taitum. 9 s4 D5 P. t1 B+ h1 o& m

In March 2005, Rayna had triplet girls Ilish, Romany and Meredith, who are now 23 months. 6 i+ u- ~1 W1 B1 }- @
8 o' V9 P( q. v2 m3 J5 q1 t" k" H: M
Then on January 27 she gave birth to Avie, weighing 7lb 11oz, at Poole Hospital in Dorset. + w/ `$ O1 C) m8 w/ b0 h5 ^* Y" K( }4 v# ]
She had a difficult labour this time round, and needed a blood transfusion after problems with the placenta. $ @$ j5 b. I4 t) o% l+ z2 I3 k0 y" o s, |$ d& V6 c
Mrs Warriner is now considered to be at high risk of complications if she becomes pregnant again. f# H1 x+ X: b
) c$ a. x4 [# K& w
But despite the potential problems, and the considerable squeeze on their finances, she says she remains hooked on motherhood. # n9 s+ M q% \/ }& m4 R8 D, K ' k) N5 d; d r8 u% V% O0 Q"We are not planning to have another one at the moment but we’ll have to wait and see what comes. 4 u+ r: g2 F' }5 `. B

"People think we are mad but the children are our life and bring us so much pleasure. $ E( N, y6 s6 b3 i+ Z6 i

"When we married we said we’d have six, then my husband joked that we’d have eight to wind my mother up, but we’ve gone beyond a joke now." ! X0 Q1 r8 D2 N

Mrs Warriner spends her exhausting 17-hour day ferrying her children to various schools and nurseries, doing four loads of washing, shopping, cooking, cleaning and reading countless bedtime stories. : h+ F6 O4 x2 s0 Z- Y
( U% h# ]) n5 q* E
To accommodate their family, the couple, from Bournemouth, have had an extra-large bath fitted and have extended their six-bedroom detached house. k6 `+ u5 S/ e+ J! O) x- w7 }! \: y3 c( X7 e& V8 w$ y
They spend £170 a week on their food bill. And as a result of rising bills, they have not been on holiday for three years. * P0 i- b' d1 s4 P+ }; z
/ e' Z- L: t! v% c& x
They struggle to organise even a weekend away as hotels and holiday homes are unable to accommodate so many children. 7 H( h/ M, N; N& K2 l: f& q3 |# u5 X1 @0 g4 v# z
Mr Warriner, 45, who is applying for promotion to inspector to help support his brood, added: "When we got married ten years ago, Rayna said she’d like four children and I joked that I wanted eight. ) O" j3 G4 B$ e3 S5 ` - A) u, L6 B/ n! d: V"We agreed to settle for six but it hasn’t worked out that way." 0 M3 l# B( m6 g% @6 C+ k9 g
) D0 @* z" Q1 s/ i: }: r
He added: "We haven’t had a holiday for years or a night out together. We don’t have a social life but I don’t feel I’m missing out."
