After having nine children in as many years, you might think Rayna and Malcolm Warriner's brood is complete." N, e7 n: Z q
. r7 z# W& I9 ]: W x( L. l+ fBut, with one seat spare in the family minibus, the couple feel they still have a gap to fill. ' m; O' ~) [) e3 S . E/ G$ _* T. r9 B# RLess than a month after giving birth to their newest addition, Mrs Warriner is already broody for a tenth baby. 8 Y, b- X+ G* q$ s1 [/ p! `

"I’m hooked on the adrenaline rush I get from having a beautiful baby and it is a miracle that lasts a lifetime," said the former nursery manager, 32. * f7 ?8 d5 N3 {# x$ W( p: X7 e* ]2 b" |, n& E! ], l$ ?- [+ D0 F) s
"We have one more seat to fill in our 12-seater minibus. If my husband said that’s it, we would stop, but we both enjoy having children so much." " a) L1 R* p! }4 A5 O/ r 4 W: a' h8 ]7 H# I! T6 F9 dThe couple support their six girls and three boys on the wages Mr Warriner earns as a police sergeant, without the aid of benefits. ]# k: d0 \7 K0 b5 F+ M7 T( _, y% e
7 G0 J! W- m- X' p" E( C: M+ qTheir oldest child, Eryn, is nine. A year after her birth, the couple had Jackson, now eight, followed two years later by Harrison, six. . b9 G. X9 n9 C( d% E5 F# m- i
' t3 r) u5 Q) g1 r1 l) XAnother boy, Callan, arrived in 2003 and was followed by threeyear- old Taitum. & z0 S, E3 g2 z, Y) G: z% H' b" ~

In March 2005, Rayna had triplet girls Ilish, Romany and Meredith, who are now 23 months. 1 \* v4 a8 ~0 v
* k' z* r+ `5 I1 _: `7 U; n3 F
Then on January 27 she gave birth to Avie, weighing 7lb 11oz, at Poole Hospital in Dorset. ) L# H" e: h b B: L# O1 _# k
+ x6 ~% b& x) O: k
She had a difficult labour this time round, and needed a blood transfusion after problems with the placenta. . Y& e7 ?8 M V
# a3 J3 F' O6 ~! R1 a) L* |0 gMrs Warriner is now considered to be at high risk of complications if she becomes pregnant again. % h* R" E- N' t# |! @ f8 ^1 x) |5 A9 {" s1 O
But despite the potential problems, and the considerable squeeze on their finances, she says she remains hooked on motherhood. " k; w. J$ z$ ]4 n( E/ L7 t, W

"People think we are mad but the children are our life and bring us so much pleasure. ' M. {7 q, C5 q. P% q' {& I

"When we married we said we’d have six, then my husband joked that we’d have eight to wind my mother up, but we’ve gone beyond a joke now." 4 x' j5 O1 z' q' ]# n- K4 }
* k* [5 \7 R1 [! AMrs Warriner spends her exhausting 17-hour day ferrying her children to various schools and nurseries, doing four loads of washing, shopping, cooking, cleaning and reading countless bedtime stories. 7 d1 D3 I* r. W) X2 {" d7 o* O! s- c
To accommodate their family, the couple, from Bournemouth, have had an extra-large bath fitted and have extended their six-bedroom detached house. 1 f) j) P. L: l1 W9 A! A7 o
' |' R% f9 x. a* m! vThey spend £170 a week on their food bill. And as a result of rising bills, they have not been on holiday for three years. 7 b2 L% ~ G+ E7 p" d% a ) y, A$ p) w- G, f3 a2 Y6 o5 Z1 t8 XThey struggle to organise even a weekend away as hotels and holiday homes are unable to accommodate so many children. ) _) a& j1 g( r
% u* S J& r# G1 }, z5 K/ B9 v `Mr Warriner, 45, who is applying for promotion to inspector to help support his brood, added: "When we got married ten years ago, Rayna said she’d like four children and I joked that I wanted eight. $ r0 s9 \9 b1 o# M' l9 E5 Y( S) y- g6 @% }6 m" T( M. m
"We agreed to settle for six but it hasn’t worked out that way." 5 |4 ^/ h6 b% J) O1 s* t% b/ s' M& |- M0 l
He added: "We haven’t had a holiday for years or a night out together. We don’t have a social life but I don’t feel I’m missing out."
