After having nine children in as many years, you might think Rayna and Malcolm Warriner's brood is complete. 2 S" [% I: J/ C5 z, q: v! h9 \, W( k0 N8 P G
But, with one seat spare in the family minibus, the couple feel they still have a gap to fill. 4 J6 S" I0 ^! D
7 l. i8 H2 R8 W5 Z; b/ {+ y& U2 LLess than a month after giving birth to their newest addition, Mrs Warriner is already broody for a tenth baby. % \) x: Z( q9 o, M- C2 P
2 H( c* N. Z. \0 M' s"I’m hooked on the adrenaline rush I get from having a beautiful baby and it is a miracle that lasts a lifetime," said the former nursery manager, 32. , a& @8 E5 q) r' v! [, u 3 v* W) p l* g. |"We have one more seat to fill in our 12-seater minibus. If my husband said that’s it, we would stop, but we both enjoy having children so much." o3 w6 D4 \7 K5 c
' s, L) C& Y. H' ?The couple support their six girls and three boys on the wages Mr Warriner earns as a police sergeant, without the aid of benefits. ' N& f) n' S. E8 O5 ]" r $ ~) F: P, u9 u9 aTheir oldest child, Eryn, is nine. A year after her birth, the couple had Jackson, now eight, followed two years later by Harrison, six. * t; r, @% G% R! N3 t+ Y" y* |/ u w! e2 w+ x3 [& }2 L
Another boy, Callan, arrived in 2003 and was followed by threeyear- old Taitum. " K! }* D, }& J# K3 B `: m" j3 H& z# h7 E, `; v
In March 2005, Rayna had triplet girls Ilish, Romany and Meredith, who are now 23 months. 0 b! z" X& r$ R7 p/ V9 d5 _0 `8 u . n$ _- a4 Q% b- u. o/ x. V! `Then on January 27 she gave birth to Avie, weighing 7lb 11oz, at Poole Hospital in Dorset. 9 ?0 Z" U2 B! x" _, U
0 m/ J W. u2 q. H, L+ v
She had a difficult labour this time round, and needed a blood transfusion after problems with the placenta. , h9 J- p) H; I; [) f" S ) a9 T7 c7 d( s; T! J% ?8 m( CMrs Warriner is now considered to be at high risk of complications if she becomes pregnant again. 5 V* X4 T) v7 L* X
' q( l X. e! w
But despite the potential problems, and the considerable squeeze on their finances, she says she remains hooked on motherhood. 6 s7 h; z; C- ^) g- C& n! W" B- D! q

"We are not planning to have another one at the moment but we’ll have to wait and see what comes. 5 d. d+ h8 T! j4 l; p1 `) t# n% P; \) Y6 i# H% X, Z
"People think we are mad but the children are our life and bring us so much pleasure. 3 m* A' u4 @/ K* _8 w# C$ q5 O
! K% m- |" [" k. I$ \4 h
"When we married we said we’d have six, then my husband joked that we’d have eight to wind my mother up, but we’ve gone beyond a joke now." & v7 ?/ e' V( h$ O; d( n " F: }$ \- M1 gMrs Warriner spends her exhausting 17-hour day ferrying her children to various schools and nurseries, doing four loads of washing, shopping, cooking, cleaning and reading countless bedtime stories. 8 u8 e5 r/ c9 O5 s! S7 s" `
+ `: ]# }$ g0 x) b
To accommodate their family, the couple, from Bournemouth, have had an extra-large bath fitted and have extended their six-bedroom detached house. $ @" E+ H% a3 |$ F8 I
2 ]; }* a9 J+ l! K
They spend £170 a week on their food bill. And as a result of rising bills, they have not been on holiday for three years. 3 E( ?8 ~! X, ^- |' F" R4 A+ o, e( c
They struggle to organise even a weekend away as hotels and holiday homes are unable to accommodate so many children. ) l- Y- b' j% e: h9 O4 k+ U- o0 o# M3 V
Mr Warriner, 45, who is applying for promotion to inspector to help support his brood, added: "When we got married ten years ago, Rayna said she’d like four children and I joked that I wanted eight. 2 q# C# n, R `, [$ y. E2 G9 Q3 l7 h2 q
"We agreed to settle for six but it hasn’t worked out that way." M X$ q6 X, @& A/ \" p
& `% |4 W8 w" j# \He added: "We haven’t had a holiday for years or a night out together. We don’t have a social life but I don’t feel I’m missing out."
