After having nine children in as many years, you might think Rayna and Malcolm Warriner's brood is complete. 0 M* N/ [ b* `7 W: j& n' R " K& y. a8 W+ j5 gBut, with one seat spare in the family minibus, the couple feel they still have a gap to fill. 5 b1 ?( Z6 w( R# p, U t0 ]" ?
* ^( i! Z7 w# }* P% h% m* c, @Less than a month after giving birth to their newest addition, Mrs Warriner is already broody for a tenth baby. 2 T0 g" t4 ^1 X: R1 V/ H: E
- G5 @! c4 @* ~% W/ F# C2 I"I’m hooked on the adrenaline rush I get from having a beautiful baby and it is a miracle that lasts a lifetime," said the former nursery manager, 32. ( _1 X% S1 h2 J7 B2 _7 h& i

"We have one more seat to fill in our 12-seater minibus. If my husband said that’s it, we would stop, but we both enjoy having children so much." 1 s# R& g% y" z4 h- e5 d 3 c' n/ y/ P k/ g+ e0 Q% [" QThe couple support their six girls and three boys on the wages Mr Warriner earns as a police sergeant, without the aid of benefits. & j" x5 `7 a- @5 q6 ?& \4 V7 x" A" T5 ]1 s8 I( G$ ]! n! R- ^5 A
Their oldest child, Eryn, is nine. A year after her birth, the couple had Jackson, now eight, followed two years later by Harrison, six. 0 X& }# W7 `% k2 S- V" m+ e" I$ s/ U7 z4 D. x1 g& B
Another boy, Callan, arrived in 2003 and was followed by threeyear- old Taitum. + i2 c+ a! C2 z2 w8 @
; D) L. i: C' u% {9 @6 M
In March 2005, Rayna had triplet girls Ilish, Romany and Meredith, who are now 23 months. 3 d9 m1 N. V# E / I. a/ T8 ~( a# T- v2 [/ TThen on January 27 she gave birth to Avie, weighing 7lb 11oz, at Poole Hospital in Dorset. 5 s4 q! Z. ]% z# K- a6 ? J3 p

She had a difficult labour this time round, and needed a blood transfusion after problems with the placenta. 7 I1 }7 B% L K- ~+ ~( C" L" E! z" o8 J# P* m! r6 `) ?6 s
Mrs Warriner is now considered to be at high risk of complications if she becomes pregnant again. * E. u3 N3 @' }& Y* A& X
4 q, f7 V- s3 ~But despite the potential problems, and the considerable squeeze on their finances, she says she remains hooked on motherhood. 7 a" v/ u2 m! a# i7 r, I - t0 ?, n! d8 G) j2 u5 y"We are not planning to have another one at the moment but we’ll have to wait and see what comes. 5 K: t: ?, L$ C1 P8 v
$ E/ D/ |7 I j/ `; y! F1 Q"People think we are mad but the children are our life and bring us so much pleasure. * `8 ^5 l2 D' C8 Q0 ]
9 ^9 T5 n2 v& G( `3 \. }"When we married we said we’d have six, then my husband joked that we’d have eight to wind my mother up, but we’ve gone beyond a joke now." 0 X+ r6 ], x2 c2 p4 T
! X; q* q5 ], e- X: K) }( f
Mrs Warriner spends her exhausting 17-hour day ferrying her children to various schools and nurseries, doing four loads of washing, shopping, cooking, cleaning and reading countless bedtime stories. " U2 A" Q. _8 t/ U( V ; F$ d+ q0 l2 k( k- E0 z: iTo accommodate their family, the couple, from Bournemouth, have had an extra-large bath fitted and have extended their six-bedroom detached house. ( \6 F) j% m4 V: }9 P+ F. G
! \; S6 T# a3 z! I0 K) H/ bThey spend £170 a week on their food bill. And as a result of rising bills, they have not been on holiday for three years. 3 l2 S- `% t2 i& z) Y: m& y) n. k _
They struggle to organise even a weekend away as hotels and holiday homes are unable to accommodate so many children. w; T% d# \2 C, ^6 P" \1 ~

Mr Warriner, 45, who is applying for promotion to inspector to help support his brood, added: "When we got married ten years ago, Rayna said she’d like four children and I joked that I wanted eight. % d- d& [% T; @% @$ u# ]$ e" M3 x
9 y0 M% Z$ i8 H" E! ~, C& p"We agreed to settle for six but it hasn’t worked out that way." . W9 p9 E. {0 o, ?$ E* K6 o) {, m0 `" V
He added: "We haven’t had a holiday for years or a night out together. We don’t have a social life but I don’t feel I’m missing out."
