After having nine children in as many years, you might think Rayna and Malcolm Warriner's brood is complete. / X/ Z4 u0 ?% O$ A) ` 6 {& Q5 O) M; T% C$ T8 P7 kBut, with one seat spare in the family minibus, the couple feel they still have a gap to fill. $ R/ a+ i4 z* k( }& c" D 1 n' T6 p \& r& {5 }Less than a month after giving birth to their newest addition, Mrs Warriner is already broody for a tenth baby. ; ?) h, R4 g1 J. ^
- Q5 v. w! H5 t' w6 S"I’m hooked on the adrenaline rush I get from having a beautiful baby and it is a miracle that lasts a lifetime," said the former nursery manager, 32. $ c0 e4 L* U, v. }/ Q. O
6 n9 _) ~7 B t# A- B- c% |" d8 i' ["We have one more seat to fill in our 12-seater minibus. If my husband said that’s it, we would stop, but we both enjoy having children so much." 9 _& w Z' f! ]

The couple support their six girls and three boys on the wages Mr Warriner earns as a police sergeant, without the aid of benefits. ) g3 \4 l1 g* K( K, I7 n% |7 L3 Z/ j0 y
Their oldest child, Eryn, is nine. A year after her birth, the couple had Jackson, now eight, followed two years later by Harrison, six. 6 l! l; m) C4 [3 N" f: h
4 q9 K" R8 l% b* f/ m1 nAnother boy, Callan, arrived in 2003 and was followed by threeyear- old Taitum. 1 J2 t: U4 _! g9 z+ N$ [9 F( a r9 O* K5 S7 R
In March 2005, Rayna had triplet girls Ilish, Romany and Meredith, who are now 23 months. ! p* |5 A/ J$ E: l& C% q ; \9 y2 m* B, vThen on January 27 she gave birth to Avie, weighing 7lb 11oz, at Poole Hospital in Dorset. $ _8 I2 L' [# ]0 {) \& z) ^( v' {

She had a difficult labour this time round, and needed a blood transfusion after problems with the placenta. e- d- j: H! q
n4 e1 X. u+ H; g& h' A
Mrs Warriner is now considered to be at high risk of complications if she becomes pregnant again. 6 f3 k3 c% Q5 u

But despite the potential problems, and the considerable squeeze on their finances, she says she remains hooked on motherhood. + v+ C! i9 @, p/ }+ W

"We are not planning to have another one at the moment but we’ll have to wait and see what comes. % F/ T! o, i: ^+ W& \* z& ~% W! e. C4 A$ h1 `1 T
"People think we are mad but the children are our life and bring us so much pleasure. 3 j7 J) Q3 O. A' O& s/ t" M* C* D( D0 {7 h( k8 D
"When we married we said we’d have six, then my husband joked that we’d have eight to wind my mother up, but we’ve gone beyond a joke now." 7 p4 Z5 ^" p* k: s ( ~& J9 p9 b, F8 T) \Mrs Warriner spends her exhausting 17-hour day ferrying her children to various schools and nurseries, doing four loads of washing, shopping, cooking, cleaning and reading countless bedtime stories. 1 I; G( V; H$ s1 N 1 D4 } f" u4 fTo accommodate their family, the couple, from Bournemouth, have had an extra-large bath fitted and have extended their six-bedroom detached house. 2 g3 R/ Z+ M+ E
* d2 y' P$ S8 l5 |2 NThey spend £170 a week on their food bill. And as a result of rising bills, they have not been on holiday for three years. . I% N& J1 {" z+ ?) _* n( Y9 ?' E- u% [$ X! a+ }9 X# ?
They struggle to organise even a weekend away as hotels and holiday homes are unable to accommodate so many children. ' O& f5 d4 `, M& p1 d
5 b0 [3 m6 g5 a- P+ E- J" c1 _4 lMr Warriner, 45, who is applying for promotion to inspector to help support his brood, added: "When we got married ten years ago, Rayna said she’d like four children and I joked that I wanted eight. ( [3 N9 l3 V# e, w1 [ W* C6 g) p7 Q# R"We agreed to settle for six but it hasn’t worked out that way." i* `8 U# y, l8 D" A% S

He added: "We haven’t had a holiday for years or a night out together. We don’t have a social life but I don’t feel I’m missing out."
