小生命带来快乐,但是,照顾孩子相当辛苦。雷娜每日忙足了17小时,要接送孩子到不同学校、每天洗衣服也要洗上4遍,工作量比一般主妇多几倍,一家11口全靠沃里纳的一份薪水养活。夫妇俩已经3年没有放假了,也很少见朋友,但是,沃里纳说:“这个家是我们的命根,我不觉得缺乏什么。” 4 \- c- y; Y4 n; v

But, with one seat spare in the family minibus, the couple feel they still have a gap to fill. ' d+ }; |6 a" j- D- u

Less than a month after giving birth to their newest addition, Mrs Warriner is already broody for a tenth baby. 5 W6 |8 b5 j5 V! d! t $ V( u1 ^* f6 m5 K% n9 |2 ]"I’m hooked on the adrenaline rush I get from having a beautiful baby and it is a miracle that lasts a lifetime," said the former nursery manager, 32. : u4 P! k% r: c. m( y$ }"We have one more seat to fill in our 12-seater minibus. If my husband said that’s it, we would stop, but we both enjoy having children so much." " U5 x' v: {, Q7 l0 R5 S9 ^ W2 E

A year after her birth, the couple had Jackson, now eight, followed two years later by Harrison, six. 0 C8 p+ ^, }" b& |

Another boy, Callan, arrived in 2003 and was followed by threeyear- old Taitum. ! d% N/ Q6 c* Q9 ^' n; b1 A0 r " F+ Y& o' o+ N- @& c$ f- uIn March 2005, Rayna had triplet girls Ilish, Romany and Meredith, who are now 23 months. ; t. ]6 B% J* I8 t& t* ^( ]- d0 p( A$ O( u) R
Then on January 27 she gave birth to Avie, weighing 7lb 11oz, at Poole Hospital in Dorset. D6 o, [# t! n/ b# H; U9 H- P

She had a difficult labour this time round, and needed a blood transfusion after problems with the placenta. 8 y. W, r% p8 g3 i3 c

Mrs Warriner is now considered to be at high risk of complications if she becomes pregnant again. $ C6 Y7 Y) u$ Z2 s4 D

But despite the potential problems, and the considerable squeeze on their finances, she says she remains hooked on motherhood. 3 l: Y, e" ^) V7 j/ w " J5 z) r+ Q4 g"We are not planning to have another one at the moment but we’ll have to wait and see what comes. $ R7 ?$ C0 J8 \# f- a

"People think we are mad but the children are our life and bring us so much pleasure. 4 C! G3 I2 N# V. s" f ) s( f( t& @$ {# u. ]"When we married we said we’d have six, then my husband joked that we’d have eight to wind my mother up, but we’ve gone beyond a joke now." 7 i0 h, u F' X

Mrs Warriner spends her exhausting 17-hour day ferrying her children to various schools and nurseries, doing four loads of washing, shopping, cooking, cleaning and reading countless bedtime stories. 1 Y) b7 S. Y$ u" h/ V# J; D H* v4 Z. L! }& m3 d( Q/ Y* l6 P' o/ Z
To accommodate their family, the couple, from Bournemouth, have had an extra-large bath fitted and have extended their six-bedroom detached house. 8 w. C* |8 {( G 7 W( r3 Y5 |# ?They spend £170 a week on their food bill. And as a result of rising bills, they have not been on holiday for three years. 5 f/ B7 W0 L' \/ O' U" s1 d* s5 F4 H9 e H: [3 p; g" \
They struggle to organise even a weekend away as hotels and holiday homes are unable to accommodate so many children. $ z# z: F; I! {' ~6 | 6 L7 q5 X2 [7 d [) e7 AMr Warriner, 45, who is applying for promotion to inspector to help support his brood, added: "When we got married ten years ago, Rayna said she’d like four children and I joked that I wanted eight. ; F* w. A7 M& g$ ~

"We agreed to settle for six but it hasn’t worked out that way." # O( m# H3 Q7 J+ i6 Z- F. j 9 d4 J c* X4 p: vHe added: "We haven’t had a holiday for years or a night out together. We don’t have a social life but I don’t feel I’m missing out."
