After having nine children in as many years, you might think Rayna and Malcolm Warriner's brood is complete. 5 h" s5 s, |4 D- Z& h3 Q( z/ ~, e3 J! i) b2 u6 k0 i8 X5 A
But, with one seat spare in the family minibus, the couple feel they still have a gap to fill. 4 b! ?. D3 X8 l8 O {

Less than a month after giving birth to their newest addition, Mrs Warriner is already broody for a tenth baby. \7 w: U, n; h) j6 P- U; Y/ h" ?. x
# m& u: w0 b/ B( P' A"I’m hooked on the adrenaline rush I get from having a beautiful baby and it is a miracle that lasts a lifetime," said the former nursery manager, 32. 5 [' O# L5 r( ?6 h6 ^& F , u: ?" q* `- y/ w"We have one more seat to fill in our 12-seater minibus. If my husband said that’s it, we would stop, but we both enjoy having children so much." ( e+ G! h6 v' A9 X v& N) E) z
. M9 F ~ W1 YThe couple support their six girls and three boys on the wages Mr Warriner earns as a police sergeant, without the aid of benefits. ( r, s5 t4 v$ S0 v7 W1 K _& q6 p' k# }3 m
Their oldest child, Eryn, is nine. A year after her birth, the couple had Jackson, now eight, followed two years later by Harrison, six. ( o; h0 V; v/ i* a' I1 o9 |/ [2 a 5 P {. F( p# rAnother boy, Callan, arrived in 2003 and was followed by threeyear- old Taitum. " y8 G# L1 O9 q& _9 i7 e1 _9 n2 M
: ^4 @5 f1 ^1 L7 ]$ K* w B' eIn March 2005, Rayna had triplet girls Ilish, Romany and Meredith, who are now 23 months. * }* E f# \' i% B: C8 i$ i. E) i0 W$ S0 R; k
Then on January 27 she gave birth to Avie, weighing 7lb 11oz, at Poole Hospital in Dorset. : i9 J$ o2 b+ y; q4 G 9 A7 l: r/ Z: T* c& uShe had a difficult labour this time round, and needed a blood transfusion after problems with the placenta. 0 t' C7 V5 e: f" b* y
5 F6 Q0 i9 d+ g' w1 l: X! v6 t) J
Mrs Warriner is now considered to be at high risk of complications if she becomes pregnant again. - F5 A+ U/ D7 [4 K6 a& {$ T/ f9 H
" K3 W* p S7 LBut despite the potential problems, and the considerable squeeze on their finances, she says she remains hooked on motherhood. ' b# K2 s4 O( W8 ~* {, l/ R - l; c4 g- J- J! _. G2 \"We are not planning to have another one at the moment but we’ll have to wait and see what comes. " f1 g& y/ P) f$ c0 v3 ~2 W

"People think we are mad but the children are our life and bring us so much pleasure. 2 n- U5 Q9 R- q, A# u9 c
' V+ o. q. j/ R" P2 ]"When we married we said we’d have six, then my husband joked that we’d have eight to wind my mother up, but we’ve gone beyond a joke now." 3 m) g! k) \0 v2 R. e3 j4 U" z) w- f, J; }/ W4 {
Mrs Warriner spends her exhausting 17-hour day ferrying her children to various schools and nurseries, doing four loads of washing, shopping, cooking, cleaning and reading countless bedtime stories. 0 [8 U. C4 L& l$ c& \% w# v- a8 S
To accommodate their family, the couple, from Bournemouth, have had an extra-large bath fitted and have extended their six-bedroom detached house. : `3 q' f1 p! Q& U! n 7 m# V8 R4 w S b8 NThey spend £170 a week on their food bill. And as a result of rising bills, they have not been on holiday for three years. ' O/ r2 O2 z, R6 e8 l
; \. `0 O, {6 s6 R: h8 G! nThey struggle to organise even a weekend away as hotels and holiday homes are unable to accommodate so many children. 4 W4 B" D4 X0 F, x

Mr Warriner, 45, who is applying for promotion to inspector to help support his brood, added: "When we got married ten years ago, Rayna said she’d like four children and I joked that I wanted eight. ; a: f' h5 c P* U5 i% k. @. z R2 P+ u9 o6 [
"We agreed to settle for six but it hasn’t worked out that way." 8 O' |4 \4 l" y+ I2 ~( X8 A . P5 G8 l3 Y5 H5 x: `$ D$ wHe added: "We haven’t had a holiday for years or a night out together. We don’t have a social life but I don’t feel I’m missing out."
