After having nine children in as many years, you might think Rayna and Malcolm Warriner's brood is complete. 2 b( _( z( p1 @) ~' v! Z: n4 v) V+ n& O( |# ^* i4 M
But, with one seat spare in the family minibus, the couple feel they still have a gap to fill. 7 `7 E9 j, P5 e2 i4 g

Less than a month after giving birth to their newest addition, Mrs Warriner is already broody for a tenth baby. 3 \# v8 n z& j6 O3 @9 F3 k$ H* o" P$ `( k$ [6 V
"I’m hooked on the adrenaline rush I get from having a beautiful baby and it is a miracle that lasts a lifetime," said the former nursery manager, 32. 8 }$ a4 b7 X$ c1 z* W, E9 I& t8 X# p4 E
"We have one more seat to fill in our 12-seater minibus. If my husband said that’s it, we would stop, but we both enjoy having children so much." 2 m) z$ ]2 b; s. l8 ]1 a: ~
' G* D- F r# T! VThe couple support their six girls and three boys on the wages Mr Warriner earns as a police sergeant, without the aid of benefits. / @: M9 k3 T+ o, M# Q8 d! H4 J2 z1 C9 C/ v
Their oldest child, Eryn, is nine. A year after her birth, the couple had Jackson, now eight, followed two years later by Harrison, six. 3 R, J6 {, E7 {/ S

Another boy, Callan, arrived in 2003 and was followed by threeyear- old Taitum. / n9 M. B" Y; X% S2 O
0 P/ H% b( p) BIn March 2005, Rayna had triplet girls Ilish, Romany and Meredith, who are now 23 months. 0 R4 U. V' t; {/ j2 w% z' J! q( l ) M- I6 V$ R# B9 ~2 q& J/ }Then on January 27 she gave birth to Avie, weighing 7lb 11oz, at Poole Hospital in Dorset. / ]# s' P# R2 Y* F" h8 @

She had a difficult labour this time round, and needed a blood transfusion after problems with the placenta. 9 F, `0 b' u4 @5 N3 O" T ; L) l* t* _4 iMrs Warriner is now considered to be at high risk of complications if she becomes pregnant again. 5 l$ U+ g- ^% _# H3 n

But despite the potential problems, and the considerable squeeze on their finances, she says she remains hooked on motherhood. , M6 c5 ~ T" R( B

"We are not planning to have another one at the moment but we’ll have to wait and see what comes. * {* }( j4 A0 D' C2 v' @+ _
, [, X5 c/ [# A6 Y. p# ~, {" X I"People think we are mad but the children are our life and bring us so much pleasure. $ |# D- ^! U9 ~- p3 m- i/ O 1 j2 G+ B# h& g1 S1 O"When we married we said we’d have six, then my husband joked that we’d have eight to wind my mother up, but we’ve gone beyond a joke now." 6 p2 h, J& X* i/ B/ y' y

Mrs Warriner spends her exhausting 17-hour day ferrying her children to various schools and nurseries, doing four loads of washing, shopping, cooking, cleaning and reading countless bedtime stories. 1 L/ R; n& P3 X& H) a$ W
: V' s( h2 x% V f- d2 C$ kTo accommodate their family, the couple, from Bournemouth, have had an extra-large bath fitted and have extended their six-bedroom detached house. 2 _$ C5 S2 n: H9 a. G8 `0 T
! E1 e: O, u6 v: V. O8 Z+ z) ?They spend £170 a week on their food bill. And as a result of rising bills, they have not been on holiday for three years. # p* u; a/ [% b( r+ l" O/ e1 D2 {3 V
They struggle to organise even a weekend away as hotels and holiday homes are unable to accommodate so many children. 4 t8 e# H" }4 R3 A" T; F7 C4 u/ Q" u/ K
Mr Warriner, 45, who is applying for promotion to inspector to help support his brood, added: "When we got married ten years ago, Rayna said she’d like four children and I joked that I wanted eight. % t/ n0 R( I# X3 m ' |/ C! @- ?( F# m/ p0 G6 D"We agreed to settle for six but it hasn’t worked out that way." & M w, Y; ~+ }. U; L; ], @9 p7 x
He added: "We haven’t had a holiday for years or a night out together. We don’t have a social life but I don’t feel I’m missing out."
