After having nine children in as many years, you might think Rayna and Malcolm Warriner's brood is complete. * j7 Y/ A( W5 B1 h n1 P. U8 @6 w J
But, with one seat spare in the family minibus, the couple feel they still have a gap to fill. * W& p3 A. g% A4 R! \! K/ f. G. @( u n

Less than a month after giving birth to their newest addition, Mrs Warriner is already broody for a tenth baby. 5 E% V- Q7 V" [3 Z. p+ t1 H9 F e* R, _. y9 {& Y& h
"I’m hooked on the adrenaline rush I get from having a beautiful baby and it is a miracle that lasts a lifetime," said the former nursery manager, 32. 2 g# r( H( w0 y+ Z4 \2 J) E3 A
/ ]2 S N" q, s9 b8 ]: ?"We have one more seat to fill in our 12-seater minibus. If my husband said that’s it, we would stop, but we both enjoy having children so much." 4 r+ T# u A& |" t6 y F

The couple support their six girls and three boys on the wages Mr Warriner earns as a police sergeant, without the aid of benefits. ! T% l7 v0 p0 ?, F3 W: D8 H
1 {( _; @* B* K$ l X( y9 JTheir oldest child, Eryn, is nine. A year after her birth, the couple had Jackson, now eight, followed two years later by Harrison, six. ; u! b& S+ k' K I# g% A" |( s. ]4 x+ M
Another boy, Callan, arrived in 2003 and was followed by threeyear- old Taitum. 3 d. @9 I# C; s; I1 M) _. T$ [
& I$ Q# _) n: ]- V! ^In March 2005, Rayna had triplet girls Ilish, Romany and Meredith, who are now 23 months. + _) a. p8 Q3 `6 `4 y: P1 k$ E) ~9 e4 w" o
Then on January 27 she gave birth to Avie, weighing 7lb 11oz, at Poole Hospital in Dorset. $ ~! V2 [4 |% O- F, b7 L. {' T! ]3 t, W

She had a difficult labour this time round, and needed a blood transfusion after problems with the placenta. " d0 H6 N% y8 s' w
7 t1 c5 I8 \- q# U8 b" _! bMrs Warriner is now considered to be at high risk of complications if she becomes pregnant again. 1 F) L6 N9 i( @% B4 i- n 0 P9 k* F: X2 U0 b" a" YBut despite the potential problems, and the considerable squeeze on their finances, she says she remains hooked on motherhood. "We are not planning to have another one at the moment but we’ll have to wait and see what comes. ! P/ Q |( C( D3 P

"People think we are mad but the children are our life and bring us so much pleasure. ; G" B# v' b& p5 g

"When we married we said we’d have six, then my husband joked that we’d have eight to wind my mother up, but we’ve gone beyond a joke now." % Y( ]; d k6 P `

Mrs Warriner spends her exhausting 17-hour day ferrying her children to various schools and nurseries, doing four loads of washing, shopping, cooking, cleaning and reading countless bedtime stories. 6 u, m! X2 p: w! G) p/ U3 o

To accommodate their family, the couple, from Bournemouth, have had an extra-large bath fitted and have extended their six-bedroom detached house. 0 e. Q. J# ]! }5 K' f 8 t. U0 B# A) j5 OThey spend £170 a week on their food bill. And as a result of rising bills, they have not been on holiday for three years. 3 c1 r1 ?" b5 P5 b ( b3 w6 H, s" J5 P: A# T. x6 mThey struggle to organise even a weekend away as hotels and holiday homes are unable to accommodate so many children. : a3 N1 p: J2 U& ~6 q3 d6 D

Mr Warriner, 45, who is applying for promotion to inspector to help support his brood, added: "When we got married ten years ago, Rayna said she’d like four children and I joked that I wanted eight. " ]! E5 W$ p6 B- e6 {. Q( E* I6 X 4 _+ s; K! o8 m! B"We agreed to settle for six but it hasn’t worked out that way." + U. f( o$ r* V& n
) I9 W/ d* T5 ~/ ^1 JHe added: "We haven’t had a holiday for years or a night out together. We don’t have a social life but I don’t feel I’m missing out."
