Less than a month after giving birth to their newest addition, Mrs Warriner is already broody for a tenth baby. $ _( i! X2 y! {9 x8 h, }- ~& ? 8 }2 w% @* ]) Z# }! }3 |"I’m hooked on the adrenaline rush I get from having a beautiful baby and it is a miracle that lasts a lifetime," said the former nursery manager, 32. ' c, ~ v$ E2 Y $ t2 p$ G9 @4 c/ z% K1 k"We have one more seat to fill in our 12-seater minibus. If my husband said that’s it, we would stop, but we both enjoy having children so much." 6 g: {* \: U' V) v! x* I0 {
& D- r0 U' f1 L( x, M7 L; S! l6 kThe couple support their six girls and three boys on the wages Mr Warriner earns as a police sergeant, without the aid of benefits. ) w6 Y3 M B& f5 C9 c
; L1 v) @( _/ M1 N$ o" {Their oldest child, Eryn, is nine. A year after her birth, the couple had Jackson, now eight, followed two years later by Harrison, six. 3 e* J5 p4 [' b) [) r) X
8 N2 f$ T5 W. u' _1 q GAnother boy, Callan, arrived in 2003 and was followed by threeyear- old Taitum. : C A& Y9 u7 i; q9 } 2 Q6 l$ p5 ~: l& fIn March 2005, Rayna had triplet girls Ilish, Romany and Meredith, who are now 23 months. 0 i; \8 ^# P6 [& S. N4 Z8 K: i8 v9 J
N. I. P& j4 AThen on January 27 she gave birth to Avie, weighing 7lb 11oz, at Poole Hospital in Dorset. ' v8 s# |- y; ]4 z- ]5 }) A. ?( B
6 }8 T* _( g/ s D; UShe had a difficult labour this time round, and needed a blood transfusion after problems with the placenta. % _& k9 `# N6 O+ ?( _6 X5 ^: |$ t5 L+ H, J0 m
Mrs Warriner is now considered to be at high risk of complications if she becomes pregnant again. ' w1 H) u4 s; I' Z7 Y, }
0 z4 x* n& f5 q; \4 T7 RBut despite the potential problems, and the considerable squeeze on their finances, she says she remains hooked on motherhood. 7 V4 Q+ T* g3 h, N4 g 5 V% J7 B4 i+ f# j"We are not planning to have another one at the moment but we’ll have to wait and see what comes. , l# P, o+ Q" e0 o' j $ \6 c/ j9 {& c7 \; v. v7 x* ]"People think we are mad but the children are our life and bring us so much pleasure. + ]1 F4 V) q" w/ H' p8 @, |# v# Y0 S+ t
"When we married we said we’d have six, then my husband joked that we’d have eight to wind my mother up, but we’ve gone beyond a joke now." - @6 ?- U1 y$ s7 u1 b# o% V , e4 L3 J3 Q( K+ a. VMrs Warriner spends her exhausting 17-hour day ferrying her children to various schools and nurseries, doing four loads of washing, shopping, cooking, cleaning and reading countless bedtime stories. , {( D* Y1 K! ^4 ^$ A" K : L7 y ^) T/ ~1 T. L% rTo accommodate their family, the couple, from Bournemouth, have had an extra-large bath fitted and have extended their six-bedroom detached house. # u' y- S K. Y
' U/ R0 @" w) V/ b3 MThey spend £170 a week on their food bill. And as a result of rising bills, they have not been on holiday for three years. % s' j" L9 q7 z8 t4 I- \; M+ z+ t: }0 e9 q
They struggle to organise even a weekend away as hotels and holiday homes are unable to accommodate so many children. - A9 b: o+ L# d& U; H& S" w u" \3 z; D$ {) s
Mr Warriner, 45, who is applying for promotion to inspector to help support his brood, added: "When we got married ten years ago, Rayna said she’d like four children and I joked that I wanted eight. 2 q: E3 |4 ~) t" z 9 A3 l c2 J5 R7 \7 ~"We agreed to settle for six but it hasn’t worked out that way." 6 w( N/ |4 I2 ^7 E1 H% | y" v3 Q' P9 u* y* W5 V w. _7 o
He added: "We haven’t had a holiday for years or a night out together. We don’t have a social life but I don’t feel I’m missing out."
