After having nine children in as many years, you might think Rayna and Malcolm Warriner's brood is complete.2 X3 g) m# W) c/ }6 Y
: `& g& s( a% x _; p' C" E
But, with one seat spare in the family minibus, the couple feel they still have a gap to fill. % S$ Q; r/ O4 k* h+ T2 E1 W
/ S. C7 G! G5 A. [" D
Less than a month after giving birth to their newest addition, Mrs Warriner is already broody for a tenth baby. - G& T5 [# E) j/ Y: N. j0 o) S8 T! @3 w( @- y, A$ x2 P3 C
"I’m hooked on the adrenaline rush I get from having a beautiful baby and it is a miracle that lasts a lifetime," said the former nursery manager, 32. 7 y4 @# R; E9 _9 w2 v Y/ d
! V' D8 U0 D! ?2 \; J- P"We have one more seat to fill in our 12-seater minibus. If my husband said that’s it, we would stop, but we both enjoy having children so much." 0 [, c5 z D' }, J- d
) P: M5 x% M! N) O0 q6 E& ~9 o
The couple support their six girls and three boys on the wages Mr Warriner earns as a police sergeant, without the aid of benefits. 8 h% u: N% {+ g
& B4 F2 o: v7 e$ O# xTheir oldest child, Eryn, is nine. A year after her birth, the couple had Jackson, now eight, followed two years later by Harrison, six. 0 U+ i6 [3 D$ T" o; Q3 @ e2 {( u2 }9 J3 S7 X. Q$ \4 W7 C& o
Another boy, Callan, arrived in 2003 and was followed by threeyear- old Taitum. * {6 x. o% M; E$ L1 o. Z' a! Q
# W* p5 W+ W. F% ]. Z4 SIn March 2005, Rayna had triplet girls Ilish, Romany and Meredith, who are now 23 months. 6 n1 R8 C ^; J8 o* U' ^
u+ E& c- s3 {% _7 u% S! GThen on January 27 she gave birth to Avie, weighing 7lb 11oz, at Poole Hospital in Dorset. 0 _3 @* ]; v1 s) c% v9 V6 p+ H1 B0 z g) Q
She had a difficult labour this time round, and needed a blood transfusion after problems with the placenta. 8 F7 G1 |6 N# J* q$ f$ ?
$ v% ?; w8 E2 X6 ~9 d
Mrs Warriner is now considered to be at high risk of complications if she becomes pregnant again. 2 M0 l5 m4 I- D0 y2 A! ^# W9 D7 u

But despite the potential problems, and the considerable squeeze on their finances, she says she remains hooked on motherhood. - Q$ I* e1 U0 z$ u- I; e% n- V

"We are not planning to have another one at the moment but we’ll have to wait and see what comes. 4 c. z4 P' K/ ]4 z, E5 Y. v" [( i' p( W2 N/ Z/ h0 E# D
"People think we are mad but the children are our life and bring us so much pleasure. 7 `1 P- s9 w: R% _. w d1 R, ~: T $ X( ]: t* D4 t5 _. t1 C& K& _"When we married we said we’d have six, then my husband joked that we’d have eight to wind my mother up, but we’ve gone beyond a joke now." 1 U2 v6 ~/ ]5 i" D8 q4 e3 e+ `

Mrs Warriner spends her exhausting 17-hour day ferrying her children to various schools and nurseries, doing four loads of washing, shopping, cooking, cleaning and reading countless bedtime stories. * v( f) d. Z; N; p2 f- h/ c. a
4 q5 A* A s) G8 f# T
To accommodate their family, the couple, from Bournemouth, have had an extra-large bath fitted and have extended their six-bedroom detached house. 2 j2 s. j" C/ j, d) z4 a" g5 w
( n& G6 h) N W2 N* YThey spend £170 a week on their food bill. And as a result of rising bills, they have not been on holiday for three years. - c, }8 T) |& f$ w3 ^
+ a" |6 F1 u6 N5 o9 U3 f( TThey struggle to organise even a weekend away as hotels and holiday homes are unable to accommodate so many children. 7 d6 {2 ^3 q% L1 _- \# a2 x! O% H3 o0 H) Y- E w
Mr Warriner, 45, who is applying for promotion to inspector to help support his brood, added: "When we got married ten years ago, Rayna said she’d like four children and I joked that I wanted eight. & V0 [/ c" B9 W6 S 9 h- D. E7 c$ o, ]# p1 ?8 a; o7 J$ z"We agreed to settle for six but it hasn’t worked out that way." 3 M* t9 _! r& ~0 v3 Z/ ?. w/ c7 F
He added: "We haven’t had a holiday for years or a night out together. We don’t have a social life but I don’t feel I’m missing out."
