After having nine children in as many years, you might think Rayna and Malcolm Warriner's brood is complete. 2 |! v9 I4 Y0 V7 E: j" @ 5 e- h1 ~! e% h8 P; r/ HBut, with one seat spare in the family minibus, the couple feel they still have a gap to fill. 2 K" Q$ p3 w$ m* d' X ^0 h# ~* v; ]
Less than a month after giving birth to their newest addition, Mrs Warriner is already broody for a tenth baby. : y; a7 b$ y/ v
, b, l% U/ n6 T4 j' a"I’m hooked on the adrenaline rush I get from having a beautiful baby and it is a miracle that lasts a lifetime," said the former nursery manager, 32. ( Y) y$ A. H( _6 Z: ?* I9 T) \ : J$ |$ E) c/ O& C) e2 T"We have one more seat to fill in our 12-seater minibus. If my husband said that’s it, we would stop, but we both enjoy having children so much." , p$ k9 ]4 P/ Z- _- s4 H/ i% \( {

The couple support their six girls and three boys on the wages Mr Warriner earns as a police sergeant, without the aid of benefits. 3 Q% X7 s5 H; R) `5 X; _+ B+ M

Their oldest child, Eryn, is nine. A year after her birth, the couple had Jackson, now eight, followed two years later by Harrison, six. " z8 w! n6 X% h+ E
o" ~8 w7 P6 j' j6 _Another boy, Callan, arrived in 2003 and was followed by threeyear- old Taitum. + u6 j5 s* }- A7 b" M+ \" ?

In March 2005, Rayna had triplet girls Ilish, Romany and Meredith, who are now 23 months. 8 c& n! @6 ]. o3 ?" v& [
) J7 q1 f0 I9 _& ~$ C/ qThen on January 27 she gave birth to Avie, weighing 7lb 11oz, at Poole Hospital in Dorset. 1 }& z& m. g6 N0 S) H1 d9 ?/ s' { ' O$ U* `+ ~$ R( D5 MShe had a difficult labour this time round, and needed a blood transfusion after problems with the placenta. ) P" p8 a1 d2 G$ ~+ O, B/ z: u3 Y% v( |
Mrs Warriner is now considered to be at high risk of complications if she becomes pregnant again. 6 |+ Z! a4 v7 J1 x* x5 Q, l ! f' y- P) ^# n; Y- xBut despite the potential problems, and the considerable squeeze on their finances, she says she remains hooked on motherhood. - ~1 T) A3 D! f4 p" N3 N

"We are not planning to have another one at the moment but we’ll have to wait and see what comes. c/ R0 a# r/ R

"People think we are mad but the children are our life and bring us so much pleasure. / q2 x) ~! w% K7 D1 |7 m % k: t3 m. o7 W) _6 T$ N- F: I"When we married we said we’d have six, then my husband joked that we’d have eight to wind my mother up, but we’ve gone beyond a joke now." n" R+ p9 ~; }- _- m/ q0 m+ t- b4 F
Mrs Warriner spends her exhausting 17-hour day ferrying her children to various schools and nurseries, doing four loads of washing, shopping, cooking, cleaning and reading countless bedtime stories. ; z" r" J4 g( d; s2 e2 v' X; J% d. W- c
To accommodate their family, the couple, from Bournemouth, have had an extra-large bath fitted and have extended their six-bedroom detached house. 7 T7 }/ w. K5 b3 y4 o* R: M 4 s8 {2 \( P2 x. EThey spend £170 a week on their food bill. And as a result of rising bills, they have not been on holiday for three years. ' Y( L- {2 K! }. x ! \' V/ Q! s4 G$ W4 p) n0 bThey struggle to organise even a weekend away as hotels and holiday homes are unable to accommodate so many children. + G2 M$ d+ g) U; D" D* Q. N5 W; z o4 U' I3 J0 n0 D
Mr Warriner, 45, who is applying for promotion to inspector to help support his brood, added: "When we got married ten years ago, Rayna said she’d like four children and I joked that I wanted eight. _( {5 c( V/ p7 P# p

"We agreed to settle for six but it hasn’t worked out that way." ) d2 J- j' R) T$ e2 {4 B9 v5 j" H. M2 d
He added: "We haven’t had a holiday for years or a night out together. We don’t have a social life but I don’t feel I’m missing out."
