今年45岁的沃里纳与现年32岁的“好生养”太太雷娜,育有6女3子(包括3胞胎女儿),最大的9岁,最小的还未满月。结婚时他们协议生6个,没想到越生越高兴,雷娜坦言自己已经“生上瘾”。 ' v" F% ]. ~1 S& p3 U. G1 o+ A) e' B

$ T! `& b' N1 }1 ~9 n, k/ h% r 小生命带来快乐,但是,照顾孩子相当辛苦。雷娜每日忙足了17小时,要接送孩子到不同学校、每天洗衣服也要洗上4遍,工作量比一般主妇多几倍,一家11口全靠沃里纳的一份薪水养活。夫妇俩已经3年没有放假了,也很少见朋友,但是,沃里纳说:“这个家是我们的命根,我不觉得缺乏什么。” # e4 T4 @% F) B% g4 {

Less than a month after giving birth to their newest addition, Mrs Warriner is already broody for a tenth baby. 5 @# H: b+ A0 g: j' H

"I’m hooked on the adrenaline rush I get from having a beautiful baby and it is a miracle that lasts a lifetime," said the former nursery manager, 32. ! A5 I' [+ p4 v$ g, A

"We have one more seat to fill in our 12-seater minibus. If my husband said that’s it, we would stop, but we both enjoy having children so much." 5 j* x q1 ?) W! O ' ~0 v- y+ i' LThe couple support their six girls and three boys on the wages Mr Warriner earns as a police sergeant, without the aid of benefits. 5 _9 u* ^# d. ]( b , B4 M6 k; C" pTheir oldest child, Eryn, is nine. A year after her birth, the couple had Jackson, now eight, followed two years later by Harrison, six. * _4 a" m6 ?3 N0 f u

Another boy, Callan, arrived in 2003 and was followed by threeyear- old Taitum. 6 Q% }# s3 g' v: P/ I- i1 D # M& `6 B8 m# P6 {3 {In March 2005, Rayna had triplet girls Ilish, Romany and Meredith, who are now 23 months. 6 C4 P9 l4 E: A- Z/ z8 |' x0 e5 F P% d) j
Then on January 27 she gave birth to Avie, weighing 7lb 11oz, at Poole Hospital in Dorset. : v& j6 a1 b+ U N( `7 e Y% ?' `( L6 }0 ?$ X2 s, ?' v( i7 [
She had a difficult labour this time round, and needed a blood transfusion after problems with the placenta. 7 C+ G9 Q' l/ T; o8 \/ f4 N

Mrs Warriner is now considered to be at high risk of complications if she becomes pregnant again. + Y& y! [3 }: x! x# B

But despite the potential problems, and the considerable squeeze on their finances, she says she remains hooked on motherhood. 4 e, W: T) k( z7 _0 k/ z6 q( Z4 y& {$ q3 S3 K0 s
"We are not planning to have another one at the moment but we’ll have to wait and see what comes. - Z. [4 |6 l% w' K5 x

"People think we are mad but the children are our life and bring us so much pleasure. " ~* U$ X& f# Z) d- P
1 x. O) @; i d Q8 H! ?& T"When we married we said we’d have six, then my husband joked that we’d have eight to wind my mother up, but we’ve gone beyond a joke now." 9 F: |& i2 i2 J7 }& u3 _

C0 MMrs Warriner spends her exhausting 17-hour day ferrying her children to various schools and nurseries, doing four loads of washing, shopping, cooking, cleaning and reading countless bedtime stories. $ G' u+ a) s# I$ ~ & ~: b9 Y* t1 G) l( h( ?To accommodate their family, the couple, from Bournemouth, have had an extra-large bath fitted and have extended their six-bedroom detached house. ( E, Q$ [1 i# N. j

They spend £170 a week on their food bill. And as a result of rising bills, they have not been on holiday for three years. ) o1 d/ a' l: @8 N& ]" m" V* \) q e. P h# v
They struggle to organise even a weekend away as hotels and holiday homes are unable to accommodate so many children. 1 p% c5 Y/ T# |5 w2 w9 F7 `: R

Mr Warriner, 45, who is applying for promotion to inspector to help support his brood, added: "When we got married ten years ago, Rayna said she’d like four children and I joked that I wanted eight. ) `0 w4 F/ t/ v1 O6 G

"We agreed to settle for six but it hasn’t worked out that way." 0 E- a0 U( o5 ?& @7 ]2 S

He added: "We haven’t had a holiday for years or a night out together. We don’t have a social life but I don’t feel I’m missing out."
