But, with one seat spare in the family minibus, the couple feel they still have a gap to fill. # b0 v7 Y4 v& K$ j9 f+ b8 K
6 e4 [% \) }4 o5 G# T" j# x! bLess than a month after giving birth to their newest addition, Mrs Warriner is already broody for a tenth baby. & Y* y0 Y# B$ q. C; l5 H2 U& S 8 E& e5 H% V8 K2 {5 a, K' l' o! O0 v"I’m hooked on the adrenaline rush I get from having a beautiful baby and it is a miracle that lasts a lifetime," said the former nursery manager, 32. : D- J( L1 K, @$ |0 |( q
& @" I2 _; m" u# J7 W2 p"We have one more seat to fill in our 12-seater minibus. If my husband said that’s it, we would stop, but we both enjoy having children so much." 7 O+ y( @: s9 W8 [
3 u* @! I* j. X- Y9 L/ o8 g; v3 gThe couple support their six girls and three boys on the wages Mr Warriner earns as a police sergeant, without the aid of benefits. 7 U( [/ i; l! x% L/ n3 M( B: _) D! J, L5 y# _
Their oldest child, Eryn, is nine. A year after her birth, the couple had Jackson, now eight, followed two years later by Harrison, six. 0 u5 c, Y. U) ^( Q! o. C" v& |5 M' f0 w
Another boy, Callan, arrived in 2003 and was followed by threeyear- old Taitum. 1 m4 a( x% a" |" r# f
# S- v% y% X* p+ }2 NIn March 2005, Rayna had triplet girls Ilish, Romany and Meredith, who are now 23 months. " s: D- F- [; V# v, w3 ~
5 f) @ J$ y' H0 h3 Q" sThen on January 27 she gave birth to Avie, weighing 7lb 11oz, at Poole Hospital in Dorset. 1 n/ l& A/ }$ H9 z" q. `* r0 l/ c. g/ S
She had a difficult labour this time round, and needed a blood transfusion after problems with the placenta. # g4 s; v3 c( w4 n
/ B5 a) |9 _% r J9 i/ ~Mrs Warriner is now considered to be at high risk of complications if she becomes pregnant again. ) ~) V0 V' {; ] o# K! H8 A0 H% q! w9 o$ L0 ^
But despite the potential problems, and the considerable squeeze on their finances, she says she remains hooked on motherhood. 0 H* W4 a0 h! h( Z2 L/ P9 E! E, [( [! r; ?2 ]1 E2 q
"We are not planning to have another one at the moment but we’ll have to wait and see what comes. ; Q: x" f1 n' u- f" T9 T9 C 6 l1 l- M# x. S8 F% h" a6 I"People think we are mad but the children are our life and bring us so much pleasure. ) w+ w2 R# X% X- D- J# V 1 Q* |4 h; M. r1 J) w"When we married we said we’d have six, then my husband joked that we’d have eight to wind my mother up, but we’ve gone beyond a joke now." 6 o+ S4 `) r; h1 N
7 v9 ?4 F# v: z9 u& J% b( V/ UMrs Warriner spends her exhausting 17-hour day ferrying her children to various schools and nurseries, doing four loads of washing, shopping, cooking, cleaning and reading countless bedtime stories. ; y% c4 k g6 I6 b d9 Y' {, u% T* Y- n9 j6 J, b+ n
To accommodate their family, the couple, from Bournemouth, have had an extra-large bath fitted and have extended their six-bedroom detached house. ! N; A: r" F1 U# Q- b+ s . B2 C! G: j) u3 k4 X8 fThey spend £170 a week on their food bill. And as a result of rising bills, they have not been on holiday for three years. 9 b- v; {3 e0 x * X# O: t' J% K( V4 P: FThey struggle to organise even a weekend away as hotels and holiday homes are unable to accommodate so many children. ; `/ p9 m; n1 o/ ~7 V
2 I6 G# j3 l0 N V' F) k! NMr Warriner, 45, who is applying for promotion to inspector to help support his brood, added: "When we got married ten years ago, Rayna said she’d like four children and I joked that I wanted eight. p, k+ A/ A# V* t) Y5 K! `' u; S9 C+ d9 ]4 P
"We agreed to settle for six but it hasn’t worked out that way." & p2 z& J( }& Y
7 k. J! a7 T& B: sHe added: "We haven’t had a holiday for years or a night out together. We don’t have a social life but I don’t feel I’m missing out."
