' v. w+ x' t* }8 HAfter having nine children in as many years, you might think Rayna and Malcolm Warriner's brood is complete./ ^6 N6 N5 ?( U( t @* G/ I
3 P- @8 L- y- C. Q" J) _' Y1 e+ KBut, with one seat spare in the family minibus, the couple feel they still have a gap to fill. ( c, h+ W3 w* F; O# k- k6 g1 x
e0 E, i! C4 |: g* B! f% t( f4 OLess than a month after giving birth to their newest addition, Mrs Warriner is already broody for a tenth baby. : ~ a& |4 U% s* M* S0 M9 U9 e- c' F3 C' ?
"I’m hooked on the adrenaline rush I get from having a beautiful baby and it is a miracle that lasts a lifetime," said the former nursery manager, 32. " V3 x& t9 H/ m* Y1 I* u7 K5 c+ s% q
/ Q- Z' o: P: P) }6 M/ D: Y"We have one more seat to fill in our 12-seater minibus. If my husband said that’s it, we would stop, but we both enjoy having children so much." 7 B7 a* C$ S2 o% x2 G
) M. _+ P1 Y6 P: F* d9 dThe couple support their six girls and three boys on the wages Mr Warriner earns as a police sergeant, without the aid of benefits. j6 w$ p' l2 G8 ?5 L" o" A % x1 h8 _; D5 f% N+ M! z0 GTheir oldest child, Eryn, is nine. A year after her birth, the couple had Jackson, now eight, followed two years later by Harrison, six. ! T1 _9 M% q/ m5 U* V5 p4 A1 Z4 x

Another boy, Callan, arrived in 2003 and was followed by threeyear- old Taitum. 4 c; ]( ?; h4 F; |7 d: Y( k2 J) Q( C, C6 f: o6 \
In March 2005, Rayna had triplet girls Ilish, Romany and Meredith, who are now 23 months. 5 l l8 ^1 F) \6 I8 h9 O! n: k ( p! f5 ^) n3 d5 `0 c" HThen on January 27 she gave birth to Avie, weighing 7lb 11oz, at Poole Hospital in Dorset. 8 x" _' `; u9 E6 u. _' e5 o ' U% }2 d+ g4 ]' E" _& {She had a difficult labour this time round, and needed a blood transfusion after problems with the placenta. 2 p7 t3 @! q5 C9 Q 4 f6 p0 l1 S( V) H/ R& Z+ dMrs Warriner is now considered to be at high risk of complications if she becomes pregnant again. ' A/ _6 o7 A3 G# o/ |0 P/ f
; g4 m6 A& N9 V! a0 E
But despite the potential problems, and the considerable squeeze on their finances, she says she remains hooked on motherhood. 8 @4 X# b2 l% M. Q& N6 ^" [
( m9 N! V$ P4 v"We are not planning to have another one at the moment but we’ll have to wait and see what comes. `4 a% H+ o# M& t7 v3 `
/ X K) m& c+ K2 K+ ~7 m( }1 q"People think we are mad but the children are our life and bring us so much pleasure. 0 N1 f: a: t- {2 v

"When we married we said we’d have six, then my husband joked that we’d have eight to wind my mother up, but we’ve gone beyond a joke now." * {7 A2 i2 v1 f8 X
/ Y( o/ B; V* A4 R+ [: o5 fMrs Warriner spends her exhausting 17-hour day ferrying her children to various schools and nurseries, doing four loads of washing, shopping, cooking, cleaning and reading countless bedtime stories. + {! @1 D }! W n9 J J! v8 {/ }+ R# }$ s& J
To accommodate their family, the couple, from Bournemouth, have had an extra-large bath fitted and have extended their six-bedroom detached house. 2 F6 Y* W2 Z1 E6 ^4 T4 L: v! s5 [( i+ ]% U
They spend £170 a week on their food bill. And as a result of rising bills, they have not been on holiday for three years. }* t% I0 p2 A4 X 7 E- }6 E4 M7 E2 N# ?& O4 ~3 f; B' D+ NThey struggle to organise even a weekend away as hotels and holiday homes are unable to accommodate so many children. ( @( X! v: W% E+ w' g

Mr Warriner, 45, who is applying for promotion to inspector to help support his brood, added: "When we got married ten years ago, Rayna said she’d like four children and I joked that I wanted eight. / |. v% c2 }0 I f, `' ^6 r
$ P% W! p/ N5 R! J8 |' r% N6 U) E"We agreed to settle for six but it hasn’t worked out that way." % K5 K7 F9 ~& ^7 ?9 }1 |8 t. K2 J! n5 u
He added: "We haven’t had a holiday for years or a night out together. We don’t have a social life but I don’t feel I’m missing out."
