Various aircraft will be on show in a static display, including some from DLR’s own research fleet: the most modern helicopter in the world, the EC135 FHS, the Cessna 208B Grand Caravan, the atmosphere research aircraft Falcon 20E, the Dornier Do 228-212 and the technology showcase Airbus A320 ATRA. For the purpose of a research mission, the parabolic flight Airbus A300 ZERO-G will be stopping over in Cologne and can also be viewed by visitors. Even SOFIA the airborne observatory will be there, and visitors will be allowed on board. The German Air Force (Luftwaffe) will also be participating with aircraft such as the ECR Tornado, the F4 Phantom and the Eurofighter, as well as a Transall C160 and the Airbus A310 MedEvac, which has already performed service on international disaster relief missions. As a special guest, an Airbus A380 is expected, and visitors will be allowed on board.
