Australia (Reuters) -- A former Chinese diplomat seeking asylum in Australia has been granted permanent residence after abandoning his post in Sydney and claiming he could be jailed or executed if he returned home.
Chen Yonglin, a former political affairs consul, has claimed Beijing had up to 1,000 spies operating in Australia and had kidnapped critics and whisked them back to China.
"He now appears to be hating China so much, but China offered him the best a young man can have," said in a comments published in Australian media on Friday.作者: STROM 时间: 2005-7-15 18:37
