How can I fix the audio issues with Waze and Spotify on Android Auto?


I am planning to drive for 8 hours in cold weather and I need to use Waze for navigation. However, the audio on Waze is very low and sometimes does not work at all. I also have Spotify connected to my car stereo, but it starts playing automatically when I turn on the car and resumes playing whenever I adjust the volume. This interferes with the Waze directions and annoys me. How can I solve these problems and have a smooth and safe drive? Thank you..
