Police are warning Saanich residents about a suspicious electronics sales activities involving a white van labelled with Pro Audio Video.In a Tweet on Thursday morning  Feb. 3 , Saanich police wrote that two people were reportedly selling electronics from the van, which was observed in the Tillicum area Wednesday at noon. This is a common, decades-old scam. It usually involves a deal thats too good to be true and also aggressive salesman who are impatient and only deal in cash,  Saanich Police Department Const. Markus Anastasiades told Black Press Media.The van is described as an older white minivan with sliding side doors. No description of suspects was provided.Saanich police followed up the called-in report Feb. 2 but could not locate the van.Police recommend the best way to protect against such scams is to purchase electronics from a reputable dealer, but if purchas stanley cup ing from an individual, ensure the model and serial number on the box match the contents inside.
