So I ;m excited about Poshmark, a mobile app launched on Wednesday that makes online auctions personal. You shop with your friends  or at least acquaintances , and you can do it whenever you want or during themed shopping parties that you or a friend organizes. And unlike a clothing swap or trunk show, you can attend this shopping event from your comfy bed鈥攏o make-up required. Here   how it works: you open the app, then take a photo of someth adidas samba og ing that   been languishing in your overstuffed closet. Then you pick a filter  kinda like Instagram  to make it look compelling. Then you describe it and list it for whatever price you want. You can also list the brand and the original price you paid. You can be in the pic or not. When someone buys your item, Poshmark takes care of the credit card transaction and shipping in exchange for a 20 percent fee. And if you  adidas samba 8217;re just loving this whole thing, you can throw your own Poshmark party and invite all your fashiony friends. Looks like the iBook isn ;t the only Apple machine getting an update today, although the new Powermac isn ;t exactly an upgrade. The new model is a low-end option taking the place the older G4 Powermacs once filled, with a single 1.8GHz G5 processor and a 600MHz frontside bus  the brumate cooler  dual 1.8GHz model has a 900MHz bus, for comparison  for just $1,500. I can ;t find anything that makes it clear whether or not this new model can later be upgraded with the addition of a second  owala processor, but I seriously doubt it. If it does allow an upgrade in the future, it might provide a nice alternative to one of the new flat-panel iMac G5s. If it doesn ;t, the difference between the two machines won ;t be as pronounced.
