Dear Colleagues,


I am pleased to inform you that following discussion with University Senate Officials, at last week's Senate meeting (23.03.07), University authorities have agreed to make amendments to the conditions under which an ISE student may be granted exemption from tuition fees.

The criteria of 20 credits per semester would no longer be considered; rather it is required that the student should have passed a least 2 exams per semester, for the past 3 consecutive semesters. No need to go to any Prof e.g. (Prof Alex Hunger /Mayer) to get your Documents. Only Notenspiegal is sufficient now, with your other required documents for exemption your fees.

ATTENTION TO ALL ISE STUDENTS

After much discussion, the University Authorities and the Duisburg Immigration Office Authorities have agreed to our (ASTA & ISE FACHSHAFT) plea, to make the following amendments to the tuition fees exemption procedure and visa extension procedure respectively:



EXEMPTION FROM PAYMENT OF TUITION FEES
        VISA EXTENSION

•        Instead of 20 credits per semester, a minimum of 2 exams per semester is the new requirement, it mean no proof of credit point from any one!

•        The ‘Nachweis für Studienverlauf’ would no longer be required!

•        For proof of study progress, Student’s Notenspiegel is sufficient.

•        Just go with your required documents to student sectary office in Essen!


       
•        A student’s visa would now be extended even before it expires!

•        Shorter waiting times for appointments for visa extension!

•        No need to get every year letter from university for your extension!

•        Definitely less stress is now guaranteed!
