I am using an Epson C44 printer on Windows XP, it is now nearly two years old and for most of the time have used compatible inks from Choice Stationery. Today, both green and red lights are flashing and when eventually I tried to run a test page, received this message:

"Parts inside your printer are at the end of their service life. Contact your dealer for replacement."

As this printer is not the most expensive and unless there is a simple way of doing what needs to be done myself, has the printer reached the economic end of the road?
