Well, as far as I know, bus 420 has been replaced by bus 50, at the same bus stations. A one day ticket costs 4 euro per person, and also valid for local buses in Maastricht. Seems no extra discount for two persons.

bus 50 should stop in the front of the main entrance of HBF.
