The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner announced Tuesday that it will conduct an independent inquest into the cause of death of 18-year-old Andreacute Guardado, months after he was fatally shot by deputies. It would be the first such inquest in L.A. REDDING, Calif. -- An explosive wildfire raged through several Northern California communities, killing two firefighters and destroying dozens of homes after thousands of terrified residents fled in miles-long traffic jams.
