But, with one seat spare in the family minibus, the couple feel they still have a gap to fill.

Less than a month after giving birth to their newest addition, Mrs Warriner is already broody for a tenth baby.

The couple support their six girls and three boys on the wages Mr Warriner earns as a police sergeant, without the aid of benefits.

Another boy, Callan, arrived in 2003 and was followed by threeyear- old Taitum.

Mrs Warriner is now considered to be at high risk of complications if she becomes pregnant again.

"People think we are mad but the children are our life and bring us so much pleasure.

They struggle to organise even a weekend away as hotels and holiday homes are unable to accommodate so many children. . D3 J* l% v* ]1 ]+ u5 W

Mr Warriner, 45, who is applying for promotion to inspector to help support his brood, added: "When we got married ten years ago, Rayna said she’d like four children and I joked that I wanted eight. " F0 m) p+ S4 |; N

He added: "We haven’t had a holiday for years or a night out together. We don’t have a social life but I don’t feel I’m missing out."
