The couple support their six girls and three boys on the wages Mr Warriner earns as a police sergeant, without the aid of benefits.

. s/ X5 s6 x7 G  p; C2 ~1 U; ~Mrs Warriner spends her exhausting 17-hour day ferrying her children to various schools and nurseries, doing four loads of washing, shopping, cooking, cleaning and reading countless bedtime stories.

. U7 v+ y9 M; @" GTo accommodate their family, the couple, from Bournemouth, have had an extra-large bath fitted and have extended their six-bedroom detached house.

( d, ?- M" r# }5 ]0 vThey spend £170 a week on their food bill. And as a result of rising bills, they have not been on holiday for three years.

% {( d" D( S" s5 SThey struggle to organise even a weekend away as hotels and holiday homes are unable to accommodate so many children.

& y4 U; ^" V: T3 ~6 v) I( PMr Warriner, 45, who is applying for promotion to inspector to help support his brood, added: "When we got married ten years ago, Rayna said she’d like four children and I joked that I wanted eight.

"We agreed to settle for six but it hasn’t worked out that way."
