Then on January 27 she gave birth to Avie, weighing 7lb 11oz, at Poole Hospital in Dorset.

Mrs Warriner is now considered to be at high risk of complications if she becomes pregnant again. 4 c) i. P0 J4 K

! a6 w+ J( D2 u5 P0 x* UBut despite the potential problems, and the considerable squeeze on their finances, she says she remains hooked on motherhood.

) t) d% D& z" Y" A1 OMrs Warriner spends her exhausting 17-hour day ferrying her children to various schools and nurseries, doing four loads of washing, shopping, cooking, cleaning and reading countless bedtime stories.

They spend £170 a week on their food bill. And as a result of rising bills, they have not been on holiday for three years.

They struggle to organise even a weekend away as hotels and holiday homes are unable to accommodate so many children.

Mr Warriner, 45, who is applying for promotion to inspector to help support his brood, added: "When we got married ten years ago, Rayna said she’d like four children and I joked that I wanted eight. 4 L" m+ V) k# Y, L4 @' ]* @8 `2 I: C' B

"We agreed to settle for six but it hasn’t worked out that way."

He added: "We haven’t had a holiday for years or a night out together. We don’t have a social life but I don’t feel I’m missing out."
