But, with one seat spare in the family minibus, the couple feel they still have a gap to fill.

"I’m hooked on the adrenaline rush I get from having a beautiful baby and it is a miracle that lasts a lifetime," said the former nursery manager, 32. , G0 u4 J& s9 B4 A" S

Then on January 27 she gave birth to Avie, weighing 7lb 11oz, at Poole Hospital in Dorset.

She had a difficult labour this time round, and needed a blood transfusion after problems with the placenta. , b4 Y& R" ^: x8 p, b! A  I

"We are not planning to have another one at the moment but we’ll have to wait and see what comes.

Mr Warriner, 45, who is applying for promotion to inspector to help support his brood, added: "When we got married ten years ago, Rayna said she’d like four children and I joked that I wanted eight. " B( r. c( S& [; i8 ^1 ~/ {8 a

"We agreed to settle for six but it hasn’t worked out that way."
