After having nine children in as many years, you might think Rayna and Malcolm Warriner's brood is complete.

But, with one seat spare in the family minibus, the couple feel they still have a gap to fill.

"I’m hooked on the adrenaline rush I get from having a beautiful baby and it is a miracle that lasts a lifetime," said the former nursery manager, 32.

In March 2005, Rayna had triplet girls Ilish, Romany and Meredith, who are now 23 months.

She had a difficult labour this time round, and needed a blood transfusion after problems with the placenta. 0 Y$ v! w+ [0 P/ n+ v4 d  ]/ j

"People think we are mad but the children are our life and bring us so much pleasure.

"When we married we said we’d have six, then my husband joked that we’d have eight to wind my mother up, but we’ve gone beyond a joke now." 4 W5 \. L% h" ^  T) b- T

Mrs Warriner spends her exhausting 17-hour day ferrying her children to various schools and nurseries, doing four loads of washing, shopping, cooking, cleaning and reading countless bedtime stories. 8 x: G$ R1 D( N( F+ G5 T9 m, f4 {

& a. D' [' q1 {/ [: V- m- RThey spend £170 a week on their food bill. And as a result of rising bills, they have not been on holiday for three years.

They struggle to organise even a weekend away as hotels and holiday homes are unable to accommodate so many children.

* `$ ^$ Q+ d9 t* ]人在德国 社区Mr Warriner, 45, who is applying for promotion to inspector to help support his brood, added: "When we got married ten years ago, Rayna said she’d like four children and I joked that I wanted eight.

He added: "We haven’t had a holiday for years or a night out together. We don’t have a social life but I don’t feel I’m missing out."
