But, with one seat spare in the family minibus, the couple feel they still have a gap to fill.

Less than a month after giving birth to their newest addition, Mrs Warriner is already broody for a tenth baby.

"I’m hooked on the adrenaline rush I get from having a beautiful baby and it is a miracle that lasts a lifetime," said the former nursery manager, 32.

% q, z3 t& s; _" dThe couple support their six girls and three boys on the wages Mr Warriner earns as a police sergeant, without the aid of benefits.

In March 2005, Rayna had triplet girls Ilish, Romany and Meredith, who are now 23 months.

% o% J5 l* n: z; \7 S# aShe had a difficult labour this time round, and needed a blood transfusion after problems with the placenta.

) U4 G" n+ P1 ~2 W9 eMrs Warriner is now considered to be at high risk of complications if she becomes pregnant again.

Mrs Warriner spends her exhausting 17-hour day ferrying her children to various schools and nurseries, doing four loads of washing, shopping, cooking, cleaning and reading countless bedtime stories. # |% Y, ]) ?0 l

3 [( p* J: y- B* X$ BTo accommodate their family, the couple, from Bournemouth, have had an extra-large bath fitted and have extended their six-bedroom detached house.

They spend £170 a week on their food bill. And as a result of rising bills, they have not been on holiday for three years. ( l) [4 \# E* l' \, ]

They struggle to organise even a weekend away as hotels and holiday homes are unable to accommodate so many children. 0 z2 e3 g1 x$ B# e2 z4 g

Mr Warriner, 45, who is applying for promotion to inspector to help support his brood, added: "When we got married ten years ago, Rayna said she’d like four children and I joked that I wanted eight. , b+ A  k. K* f- p% c1 r6 j

"We agreed to settle for six but it hasn’t worked out that way."
