"I’m hooked on the adrenaline rush I get from having a beautiful baby and it is a miracle that lasts a lifetime," said the former nursery manager, 32.

The couple support their six girls and three boys on the wages Mr Warriner earns as a police sergeant, without the aid of benefits.

She had a difficult labour this time round, and needed a blood transfusion after problems with the placenta.

Mrs Warriner spends her exhausting 17-hour day ferrying her children to various schools and nurseries, doing four loads of washing, shopping, cooking, cleaning and reading countless bedtime stories.

3 S$ A( u2 V) C7 V4 b2 yTo accommodate their family, the couple, from Bournemouth, have had an extra-large bath fitted and have extended their six-bedroom detached house.

They spend £170 a week on their food bill. And as a result of rising bills, they have not been on holiday for three years.

1 l. g2 c" I1 Y6 B" e  g! p% \They struggle to organise even a weekend away as hotels and holiday homes are unable to accommodate so many children.

Mr Warriner, 45, who is applying for promotion to inspector to help support his brood, added: "When we got married ten years ago, Rayna said she’d like four children and I joked that I wanted eight. * q0 D! l9 }0 I* ~. ~& H

"We agreed to settle for six but it hasn’t worked out that way." / v" I' q3 ~0 s1 v4 G2 _

He added: "We haven’t had a holiday for years or a night out together. We don’t have a social life but I don’t feel I’m missing out."
