Sr. Test Engineer Leader
Location: San Diego, Shenzhen(China)
Responsibilities:
As a technical expert, to guide the team:
To design and implement the test environment for the 3G WCDMA Layer 1/2/3 development
To develop the software test suites for the 3G chipsets design
To support system level integration, validation and execution of test plan
Requirements:
Hands-on experience of establishing the test environment for the GSM, GPRS, and/or WCDMA chipset development
Good understanding of 3GPP specifications
Familiarity with protocol test gear and conformance test equipment and procedures for 2.5G/3G handsets
Good knowledge of setting up, running and maintaining an automated regression test system
3+ relevant years in wireless industry
Degree in Engineering discipline
Sr. DSP Firmware Engineer Leader
Responsibilities:
As a technical expert, to guide the team:
To design 3G WCDMA Layer 1 DSP software
To debug and test hardware FPGA/ASIC with test codes
To integrate real-time embedded software for UE SoC
Requirements:
Good understanding of UMTS WCDMA physical layer algorithms, and able to convert the functional design spec. to implementation level
Direct experience in UMTS WCDMA transport channel processing and power saving mode design is preferred
Knowledge of various DSP processors and their debugging environments for efficient MIPS usage, basic hardware knowledge is mandatory
Hands-on experiences on RTOS and their debugging environments for multi-tasking applications
Proficiency in C/Assembly programming, and hands-on experience in DSP scheduler design
At least 3 years developing or testing real-time software for UE, direct experience of developing/testing TDMA/CDMA Layer 1 is required
5+ years relevant experience in developing embedded software in wireless industry
IOT and field test experience an advantage
Degree in Engineering discipline
Sr. Protocol Stack Software Engineer Leader
Responsibilities:
As a technical expert, to guide the team:
To design 3G WCDMA Layer 1 controller (Layer 1 adapter) and L2/3 protocol stack
To debug and test hardware peripherals
To integrate real-time embedded software for UE SoC
Requirements:
Good understanding of UMTS protocols (L2 & L3 mandatory, L1 a big plus), and in-depth knowledge of protocol stack development
Knowledge of RTOS such as Nucleus and their debugging environments for multi-tasking applications
Proficiency in C/C++ in real time embedded environment, and hands on experience in ARM processor programming
At least 2 years developing or testing real-time software for UE, direct experience of developing/testing L1/L2/L3 protocol stack (especially UMTS) required
5+ years relevant experience in developing embedded software in wireless industry
IOT and filed test experience an advantage

Sr. System/Algorithm Engineer leader
Responsibilities:
As a technical expert, to guide the team:
To perform baseband algorithm identification, system level design and performance simulation for WCDMA mobile terminal chipsets;
To achieve an optimal system architectures between ASIC and DSP through hardware/software system partitioning;
To create the design specifications for DSP and ASIC implementation;
To define test cases and provide test vectors for design verification.
Requirements:
Solid layer 1 algorithm theory in wireless mobile communication systems of GSM/GPRS/WCDMA/CDMA2000/TD-SCDMA, understanding of 3G UMTS L2/3 protocol is an advantage;
Speciality in channel estimation, equalization, timing track, blind detection, QPSK/8PSK/16QAM modulation, Viterbi & Turbo encoding/decoding, RAKE receiver finger management, transmission power control, and power saving mode design etc. is preferred;
Hands on experience with COSSAP/SPW based system modeling and simulation, be able to perform floating point and bit-true simulation for algorithm optimization and support ASIC verification;
Basic knowledge in both hardware and software, need to work closely across RF/ASIC/Software/Firmware teams;
Leadership in tracking and interpreting 3GPP specification;
Ph.D. degree with 2+ years, MS with 4+ industrial working experiences in wireless system design. Minimum 2 years in WCDMA Layer 1 development is mandatory. |
