提到英国的Ritchie Blackmore，就意味着得再次翻看Deep Purple(深紫)与Rainbow(彩虹)的历史。1968年Blackmore和朋友一起组建了深紫，在此期间奠定了其无人替代的新古典(前卫)吉它大师地位，1975年离队组建彩虹，1993年更名为Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow，1997年和他的妻子Candice Night组成的一个夫妻音乐组合，虽然他们的年龄相差了26岁，可是音乐确丝毫不影响这些。Blackmore夫妻档在New Age与World Music的音乐领域已颇富盛名，成为少数能够成功跨足Rock/New Age/World Music的艺人。
