信心要加上……忍耐。——彼后1：5，6

耶和华的大日子临近了。（珥1：15；番1：14）到时，耶和华会证明他的至高统治权是正义的。我们基督徒都热切等候这个日子，并决心对上帝坚守忠义。可是，在等候期间，我们也许会由于信仰的缘故被憎恨、侮辱、迫害甚至杀害。（太5：10-12；10：22；启2：10）因此，我们须要忍耐，换句话说，要忍受得住逆境。忍耐十分重要，因为耶稣说：“忍耐到底的人，必然得救。”（太24：13）除了上述的考验，我们也可能要忍受其他考验，例如患病或亲人去世。假如我们遭遇不幸就信心尽失，撒但必定会很高兴！（路22：31，32）但凭着耶和华的扶持，我们是忍受得住各种考验的。（彼前5：6-11）例如，今天上帝不会施行奇迹治好我们的病，却必定会赐给我们力量，使我们忍受得住。（诗41：1-3）使徒保罗劝谕帖撒罗尼迦的基督徒要“安慰忧郁的人”。（帖前5：14）《守》07/7/15刊3篇1-4段

我们每个人都怀着无比美好的憧憬等待地上的乐园，然而在此之前还有很多事情要发生。我们一步一步迈向大患难，到时候会有更多难以处理的问题。耶酥基督说大患难是从人类起头都没有经历过的艰难时期，而忍耐到底的人才能得救。撒旦知道自己的日子不多，必定会使出浑身的解数向上帝的子民施加压力。不管是经济方面还是社会环境，我们知道将来要面临什么就要做好各方面的准备，特别是属灵方面。用信心作为我们的盾牌保护我们的身体，抵挡撒旦的进攻。

Supply to your faith . . . endurance.—2 Pet. 1:5, 6.

Jehovah’s great day is very near. (Joel 1:15; Zeph. 1:14) As Christians determined to maintain our integrity to God, we eagerly await that time when Jehovah’s sovereignty will be vindicated. Meanwhile, we face hatred, reproach, persecution, and death for our faith. (Matt. 5:10-12; 10:22; Rev. 2:10) This calls for endurance—the ability to withstand adversity. We need endurance, for Jesus said: “He that has endured to the end is the one that will be saved.” (Matt. 24:13) We also experience illness, bereavement, and other trials. How pleased Satan would be if our faith were to give out! (Luke 22:31, 32) With Jehovah’s support, we can endure various trials. (1 Pet. 5:6-11) For example, God does not now cure us miraculously, but he does give us the fortitude to endure illness. (Ps. 41:1-3) Further, the apostle Paul urged Christians in Thessalonica to “speak consolingly to the depressed souls.”—1 Thess. 5:14. w07 7/15 3:1-4
