After having nine children in as many years, you might think Rayna and Malcolm Warriner's brood is complete.; N5 _! I$ D& _" {& n

But, with one seat spare in the family minibus, the couple feel they still have a gap to fill.

The couple support their six girls and three boys on the wages Mr Warriner earns as a police sergeant, without the aid of benefits. / w8 h0 e1 y8 t# O

Their oldest child, Eryn, is nine. A year after her birth, the couple had Jackson, now eight, followed two years later by Harrison, six. ) z# C5 @2 [8 d0 Y$ J/ T

She had a difficult labour this time round, and needed a blood transfusion after problems with the placenta.

Mrs Warriner is now considered to be at high risk of complications if she becomes pregnant again.

"We are not planning to have another one at the moment but we’ll have to wait and see what comes.

"When we married we said we’d have six, then my husband joked that we’d have eight to wind my mother up, but we’ve gone beyond a joke now."

Mrs Warriner spends her exhausting 17-hour day ferrying her children to various schools and nurseries, doing four loads of washing, shopping, cooking, cleaning and reading countless bedtime stories.

To accommodate their family, the couple, from Bournemouth, have had an extra-large bath fitted and have extended their six-bedroom detached house.

They struggle to organise even a weekend away as hotels and holiday homes are unable to accommodate so many children.
