The couple support their six girls and three boys on the wages Mr Warriner earns as a police sergeant, without the aid of benefits.

"We are not planning to have another one at the moment but we’ll have to wait and see what comes.

"When we married we said we’d have six, then my husband joked that we’d have eight to wind my mother up, but we’ve gone beyond a joke now." 7 l- T5 K: s4 u$ K- h5 N

Mrs Warriner spends her exhausting 17-hour day ferrying her children to various schools and nurseries, doing four loads of washing, shopping, cooking, cleaning and reading countless bedtime stories. " t) e8 [) X8 {- M7 l, Q, j

"We agreed to settle for six but it hasn’t worked out that way."
