After having nine children in as many years, you might think Rayna and Malcolm Warriner's brood is complete.

But, with one seat spare in the family minibus, the couple feel they still have a gap to fill.

The couple support their six girls and three boys on the wages Mr Warriner earns as a police sergeant, without the aid of benefits.

Their oldest child, Eryn, is nine. A year after her birth, the couple had Jackson, now eight, followed two years later by Harrison, six.

Then on January 27 she gave birth to Avie, weighing 7lb 11oz, at Poole Hospital in Dorset. ) T: I. K8 @" M8 _+ Q) `

She had a difficult labour this time round, and needed a blood transfusion after problems with the placenta. ) ^; m0 b0 ^& i" ^4 [" a+ ^- x

Mrs Warriner spends her exhausting 17-hour day ferrying her children to various schools and nurseries, doing four loads of washing, shopping, cooking, cleaning and reading countless bedtime stories. 9 T9 @" Z' N6 Y0 c% W# A

To accommodate their family, the couple, from Bournemouth, have had an extra-large bath fitted and have extended their six-bedroom detached house. 2 O/ ~* g* E+ O% E2 O  `( E8 P

"We agreed to settle for six but it hasn’t worked out that way."

He added: "We haven’t had a holiday for years or a night out together. We don’t have a social life but I don’t feel I’m missing out."
