But, with one seat spare in the family minibus, the couple feel they still have a gap to fill.

"I’m hooked on the adrenaline rush I get from having a beautiful baby and it is a miracle that lasts a lifetime," said the former nursery manager, 32.

The couple support their six girls and three boys on the wages Mr Warriner earns as a police sergeant, without the aid of benefits.

In March 2005, Rayna had triplet girls Ilish, Romany and Meredith, who are now 23 months.

She had a difficult labour this time round, and needed a blood transfusion after problems with the placenta.

"We are not planning to have another one at the moment but we’ll have to wait and see what comes. ! y4 x0 y* c, z5 t

"When we married we said we’d have six, then my husband joked that we’d have eight to wind my mother up, but we’ve gone beyond a joke now." ( y# _0 J) W) o/ C) J0 E. d3 j+ E

Mrs Warriner spends her exhausting 17-hour day ferrying her children to various schools and nurseries, doing four loads of washing, shopping, cooking, cleaning and reading countless bedtime stories. ) P. a: l" m7 _

* J6 c, H! _4 `6 h' V- UTo accommodate their family, the couple, from Bournemouth, have had an extra-large bath fitted and have extended their six-bedroom detached house.

Mr Warriner, 45, who is applying for promotion to inspector to help support his brood, added: "When we got married ten years ago, Rayna said she’d like four children and I joked that I wanted eight.
