The couple support their six girls and three boys on the wages Mr Warriner earns as a police sergeant, without the aid of benefits.

Then on January 27 she gave birth to Avie, weighing 7lb 11oz, at Poole Hospital in Dorset. * d9 h2 c" O* c& w  ?) L+ C% {

She had a difficult labour this time round, and needed a blood transfusion after problems with the placenta.

But despite the potential problems, and the considerable squeeze on their finances, she says she remains hooked on motherhood.

Mrs Warriner spends her exhausting 17-hour day ferrying her children to various schools and nurseries, doing four loads of washing, shopping, cooking, cleaning and reading countless bedtime stories. # J& B, z0 n$ O( J

# X% S4 G% I* w9 gTo accommodate their family, the couple, from Bournemouth, have had an extra-large bath fitted and have extended their six-bedroom detached house. . F1 E" e3 f0 ?4 \9 j( k  I- y

Mr Warriner, 45, who is applying for promotion to inspector to help support his brood, added: "When we got married ten years ago, Rayna said she’d like four children and I joked that I wanted eight.
