After having nine children in as many years, you might think Rayna and Malcolm Warriner's brood is complete.

But, with one seat spare in the family minibus, the couple feel they still have a gap to fill.

Less than a month after giving birth to their newest addition, Mrs Warriner is already broody for a tenth baby. & @* W: q8 E) R& _

Then on January 27 she gave birth to Avie, weighing 7lb 11oz, at Poole Hospital in Dorset. $ q% K) j, r, @

But despite the potential problems, and the considerable squeeze on their finances, she says she remains hooked on motherhood.

"We are not planning to have another one at the moment but we’ll have to wait and see what comes.

Mrs Warriner spends her exhausting 17-hour day ferrying her children to various schools and nurseries, doing four loads of washing, shopping, cooking, cleaning and reading countless bedtime stories. , L1 K! F3 n8 L! g8 P

They struggle to organise even a weekend away as hotels and holiday homes are unable to accommodate so many children.

Mr Warriner, 45, who is applying for promotion to inspector to help support his brood, added: "When we got married ten years ago, Rayna said she’d like four children and I joked that I wanted eight.

He added: "We haven’t had a holiday for years or a night out together. We don’t have a social life but I don’t feel I’m missing out."
